The Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice qualifications aim to foster learners’ comprehension of both theoretical principles and practical applications in the realm of quality assurance within education. These qualifications seek to impart knowledge essential for functioning as adept quality assurance practitioners. The curriculum integrates theoretical and practical aspects within the education profession, cultivating proficiency in effective performance, planning, accountability, and development.
Upon successful completion of these qualifications, learners at City College Oxford will be equipped to secure or progress within internal quality assurance roles. Furthermore, they will possess the capability to lead a team of internal quality assurance practitioners. The acquired skills will not only apply to quality assurance but will also be transferable to various roles within education administration and/or management.

Online delivery is exclusively facilitated by approved centres.
Assessment and verification processes involve internal assessment by the centre and external verification by OTHM. The qualifications adhere to criterion referencing, evaluating learners based on the achievement of specified learning outcomes.
To attain a ’pass’ for a unit, learners must furnish evidence demonstrating fulfilment of all learning outcomes and adherence to assessment criteria standards. The Assessor, responsible for making judgments on learners’ successful achievement, is expected to provide an audit trail outlining the process leading to the determination of overall learner achievement.
