OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 5 are recognized for imparting practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competences, equating to Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diplomas (HND), and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree.
The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management qualification consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, offered at City College Oxford, is designed for one academic year of full-time study, with flexible options for part-time and distance learning.
Delivery of the qualification encompasses face-to-face sessions, including lectures, tutorials, seminars, as well as distance and online learning, exclusively facilitated by approved centres.
Internal assessment of all units is conducted by the centre, followed by external verification by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion-referenced, emphasizing the achievement of specified learning outcomes.
To attain a ’pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence demonstrating the fulfilment of all learning outcomes and meeting the standards outlined by assessment criteria. The Assessor determines whether learners have successfully met the assessment criteria, and an audit trail detailing the overall achievement judgment is provided.
Completion of the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management allows learners to advance into or within employment and/or pursue further study.
Given the approval and regulation by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible for direct entry into the final year of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree.

The OTHM Level 5 Diploma qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 18 and above.
The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:
- Relevant Level 4 Diploma qualification or equivalent qualification
- GCE Advanced level in 3 subjects or equivalent qualification
- Mature learners (over 21) with relevant management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme.
